Menswear collaborations; Check Out The Designer Clothes That Can Actually Save You Money..

Every once in a while, an opportunity arises where your wardrobe can work for your wallet as opposed to the other way around. When high-street brands collaborate with more exclusive fashion houses, you can catch upmarket designers at bank manager-friendly prices. And even if it’s a mash-up between two brands beyond your usual budget, that fact that each collection is limited edition means there is every chance that your purchase will appreciate with time. With cost assessment done, these are the best new collaborations out there, each one ready to double-team the crap out of your AW wardrobe (and save you some cash in the process).

H&M x Alexander Wang
Of all the stellar collaborations H&M have been involved in over the years, this one with Alexander Wang has been one of the most eagerly anticipated. The acclaimed New York designer has dug deep into his '90s hip-hop file for a frankly awesome urban-inspired collection that blurs the boundaries between streetwear, sportswear, and high fashion. As we’ve come to expect from Wang, it’s almost exclusively black, featuring his trademark futuristic aesthetic, textural panelling and contrasting fabrics. The collection drops on November 6th, so it won't show up in stores or online till then. Expect round-the-block queues.

Junya Watanabe x Levi’s

The 501s usually get all the love being Levi’s first ever batch number of jeans but in the 508 you have a beautifully tapered casual style that’s nonchalantly slouchy, everything a purist would want in their denim. That was before Japanese designer Junya Watanabe got his creative mitts on them to add a touch of the avant-gardism we’ve come to expect from him. Think twisted front seams, rear yoke paneling, contrast white stitching on the rear pockets, a zip fly with donut button fastener and a leather waist patch. Not just another pair of denim strides… Available at havenshop.ca

Stone Island x Supreme

Champions of streetwear Supreme have recently teamed up with cult brand Stone Island for a neat capsule collection just in time for Hurricane Gonzalo. Torrents of rain should not be challenged without the Supreme-ly pumped up Raso Gommato jacket which features a removable down liner, eye mask, and stowaway hood. Though this collab is super limited, it's available at select Stone Island stores as well as the Supreme stores. You can snap it up in bright fisherman’s yellow, urban black, or a classic camouflage pattern. There are also fine selections of crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies, and sweatpants for you to brighten up street corners in. Available in selected stores worldwide.

Mackintosh x Band Of OutsidersOuterwear

Specialists Mackintosh have joined forces with masters of preppiness Band of Outsiders on what is going to be a series of awesome-looking collaborations if the first drop is anything to go by. It consists of five brand new coat designs featuring a bonded-cotton pullover jacket, rain-resistant double-breasted pea coat, and ombre check effect trench. The collection is available in both Mackintosh and Band of Outsiders stores or you can let Mr Porter do the hard yards for you.
